What Is Friendship?

     A relationship of mutual affection? Real friendship goes much deeper than that, there are very few real friendships. A real friendship is when one knows your heart. Those are the friendships that last. When someone knows your heart they will be your friend for life. There will always be those times when you do not act in a good and appropriate manner, but a true friend sees beyond those moments.
     When I think of true friendship I only think of a very few people. There are only a few I know that I can count on to be there. They will not leave you in the rough times.
     I was thinking of a friend of mine this morning. He is gone now, but when he was alive he sat by my side when I needed a friend to be there. He always made me laugh with his silly ways. I can only recall one time when we had a little set to, but all was forgiven. We were friends until the day he died. Even though we did not see much of each other in the last months before he was gone we still remained friends. The memories of his friendship live on in my heart.
     I think of another friend, we have worked together professionally as well as having a personal friendship. She is one of the finest people I know. it never fails that no matter how rough things have ever been she has always seen my heart. I know I can tell her anything, she wont judge me. a friend accepts you as you are without judgment.
     I think of another friend, he is my dearest friend of all because I love him so much. We are far in distance mile wise, but I feel the closest to him in my heart. He is there for me, he listens patiently to my troubles. I know I can count on him. He has been there for me from the beginning of our friendship, he is really and truly the best man I know. I am the luckiest person in the world to have such a good friend in the one I love. I was thinking of this song this morning, true friendship is standing by someone. Sometimes not even saying a word, but simply standing.

What Women Like, At Least In My Opinion :P

    Women like a man who is liberated or in other words a man who will treat her as his equal.
    Women like a man who is smart and witty or in other words a man with a sense of humor. Intelligence is highly underrated in the sexy quotient, but believe me, nothing is sexier than a man with intelligence and the ability to use it to express humor.

    Women like  man who likes animals, Immanuel Kant said, “He who is cruel to animals becomes hard also in his dealings with men. We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals.”I believe this is true.

    Women do like a man who likes to cuddle. We women are emotional creatures, we like all that touchy feely stuff, like cuddling. On that note women like intimacy, those moments when her man feels safe enough with her to confide in her and share his heart. But sometimes an intimate moment can be just as intimate with no words, this would usually include cuddling.

   Women like  man who is a little possessive, mind you I said a little, not psycho jealous, just that notion that she is his and his alone.

    There is so much more and each individual finds their own way in their personal relationship with the one they love. Speaking from my own perspective,  women do tend to talk a lot and I definitely fit that bill, but the finest moments are when I am listening to what the man I love has to say. I value everything he thinks and shares with me because I value him. He is irreplaceable, there is no other person like him on earth, the things I love about him is everything he is inside. I feel like I have this treasure I get to unwrap every time we are together. What a beautiful treasure it is. To quote Robert Burns (taking the poetic liberty to change lass to lad),

What Is True

      When one person loves another they should never be afraid to tell anyone that they love that person. Love is willing to risk and give up everything for the person loved. There is no shame in that.
      I think about the man who gave up his right to be a king because he made a choice, it was either that or the woman he loved and he chose her, that is love. Love is brave and courageous and will risk everything. If there is shame in love that is not love.
     I quote Laura Hendricks--- "If you have love in your life, it can make up for a great many things you lack. If you do not have it, no matter what else there is, it is not enough." That is the truth, the only question is, what are you willing to sacrifice for love? If you are willing to sacrifice nothing you do not love and whatever else you will have it will never be enough. I would rather be a pauper living an obscure life and have love than to have all the finest things here on earth and be without love.
